You have a scene or casting-room answer to practise. You record it, watch it back, and know something feels off, but you cannot name what to change. CastMe Studio was built for that exact moment.
Studio is a private performance development space inside CastMe. It does not perform for you and it does not decide whether you should be cast. It helps you review one short take, identify one useful adjustment and try again with a clearer purpose.
Before you begin
Choose a quiet place with your face clearly visible and keep the clip under 60 seconds. A phone recording is enough. You can record directly in Studio or upload an MP4, WEBM or iPhone MOV file you already made.
Step 1: choose one thing to improve
At the top of the Studio review desk, choose the area you want the report to prioritise:
- Camera presence
- Emotional clarity
- Voice and diction
- Eyeline and framing
- Physical choices
- Script delivery
Choosing one focus matters. A report about everything can leave you with too much to fix. One deliberate goal gives the second take a job.
Step 2: record or upload your first take
Click Record Take to use your camera and microphone, or choose Upload to select a clip from your device. Studio shows the clip back to you before it is sent, so you can check that you selected the right file.
Step 3: watch it once
Do not judge your face, voice or worth as a performer. Check the practical things: can you be seen and heard, is the full take present, and is this the version you want reviewed? If not, retake it. If it is, send it to Studio.
Step 4: read the priority note first
Your report can cover camera connection, emotional specificity, physicality, voice, framing and script alignment where enough evidence is available. Start with the priority note. It is the clearest answer to: what should I try differently right now?
Step 5: make the second take
Carry that single adjustment into Live Rehearsal or record the scene again. Keep the first version as your baseline. The goal is not to chase a perfect score. It is to see whether the choice becomes clearer, more specific or more alive.
A quick example
You choose emotional clarity and upload a quiet dramatic read. The report notices that the opening is controlled but the turn arrives at the same pace as everything before it. Your next-take direction is to protect the stillness, then let one line genuinely change the room. That is a playable action. You can test it immediately.
Is it free?
Yes. CastMe Studio is included with a CastMe member account. Current safeguards limit video takes to 60 seconds and 80MB so the service remains reliable and focused on short practice loops.
What happens to your media?
Your Studio practice is private to your account. CastMe does not sell member data and does not use uploaded videos, voice recordings or performances to train foundation AI models or create replacement performers. You decide if a separate clip is later added to your public Showcase.
What Studio is, and what it is not
Studio is a structured practice tool. It can notice patterns and give you a useful next experiment. It is not a casting verdict, a substitute for an acting teacher, or a claim that performance can be reduced to a number. Use the report to create another choice, then trust your own judgement about what feels truthful.
