Why CastMe exists
The hard part was never talent. It is finding someone to rehearse with.
Between classes, between jobs and between auditions, the work quietly stops. Not for want of trying. Rehearsing just takes a second person, and finding that person is harder than it ought to be.
That is the gap we set out to close, and then we kept building. There is somewhere to rehearse with another performer, somewhere to work through a scene on your own, somewhere to put the results, and real opportunities waiting when you are ready for them.
Most of what we have built so far sits closest to actors, but the ambition is wider than that. We want CastMe to become the home for everyone who makes the work: actors and crew, musicians, writers, producers, directors and the people coming up behind them. A set is never one discipline, and a platform for it should not be either.
CastMe was founded in Ireland in 2025 by Seán Meaney. We are independent, and we are on the performer's side. Your private work stays private, and you decide what becomes public.

They are designed to be used together. Rehearse with someone, take what you learned into your own practice, put the best of it somewhere people can see, and go after the right rooms when you are ready.

Working alongside schools
Class ends. The work should not.
Connections here are opt-in on both sides. Nobody reaches a member until that member accepts, and details stay with us until they do. Accounts start at 16, under-18 members are only ever matched with other under-18 members, and anyone removed by moderation is kept out of new introductions.
