What is CastMe?

CastMe is an Irish performer platform built to help actors, extras, models, students and emerging screen talent prepare, present themselves and find useful industry information.

It combines profile building, media uploads, Studio practice tools, Showcase links, Scene Partner matching, opportunities, creative games and the Industry Hub in one place.

Who is CastMe for?

CastMe is for performers at different stages: people looking for extras work, actors building confidence, students preparing material, models who want a clean profile, and creatives who want easier access to Irish industry resources.

You do not need professional credits to start. A clear profile, honest details and recent photos matter more than pretending to be further along than you are.

Do I need to pay to register?

No. Performer registration is currently free. You can create a profile, upload photos, use your dashboard and access the main performer tools without paying at signup.

Posting a casting or opportunity is separate from performer registration and may have different terms depending on the request.

What should I add to my profile first?

Start with the basics casting people need quickly:

  • A clear headshot that looks like you now
  • Up to 10 useful photos, including a natural full-length photo where possible
  • Your location, playing age, skills, languages and experience
  • A short bio that is honest, simple and easy to scan

Your dashboard shows a profile power score and a next best step so you can build it gradually.

What is CastMe Showcase?

Showcase lets you build a clean public profile link with your headshot, positioning, bio and selected media. It is designed to be easier to share than a messy collection of attachments and links.

It can also help your presence on Google when your public profile is complete, accurate and worth indexing. You control what you publish.

What is CastMe Studio?

Studio is a private practice space for rehearsing scenes, trying cold reads and reviewing self-tapes. Some tools use AI to give structured feedback on things like clarity, framing, energy, voice and next-take focus.

The tools are designed for practice and preparation. They do not replace a human coach, casting director, agent or teacher.

Did CastMe build these tools itself?

Yes. CastMe has spent the past year developing its own performer toolkit in-house, including profile readiness logic, Showcase flows, Studio practice features, video analysis workflows, Scene Partner matching signals, opportunity trust labels and Industry Hub systems.

Some features use AI models as part of the workflow, but the product experience, prompts, checks, scoring logic and performer-focused structure are built specifically for CastMe. The tools are still improving as more performers use the platform and give feedback.

Does CastMe use my data to train AI models?

No. CastMe does not sell member data, and we do not use member photos, videos, performances, voice recordings, Showcase content or Studio materials to train foundation AI models or create replacement AI performers.

AI can feel worrying, especially for performers, so we want to be clear: CastMe's AI tools are built to help you practise, improve and present yourself. Your image, likeness, media and creative work remain yours.

If you delete media, we remove it from the active platform and stop displaying it. Limited records may remain where required for legal, security, audit, backup or dispute-resolution purposes, but deleted media is not kept for resale, reuse or AI training.

What is Scene Partner?

Scene Partner helps performers find practice matches. You can say what you want to work on, such as cold reads, self-tapes, monologues, accents or audition prep.

When real member matching is available, requests go through CastMe. Demo practice profiles may also appear clearly labelled so users can explore the flow while the community grows.

What is CastMe Play?

CastMe Play is a set of quick creative warm-ups, quote games and prompt-based challenges. It gives performers a light reason to come back between auditions or uploads.

The goal is simple: keep instincts active, build repetition and make practice feel less heavy.

Does CastMe guarantee work?

No platform can honestly guarantee work. CastMe helps you prepare, organise your profile, discover opportunities and present yourself more clearly.

Final casting decisions always sit with the production, agency, school, organiser or casting team responsible for the opportunity.

How do I apply for opportunities?

Go to Opportunities, read the listing carefully and follow the application instructions. Some opportunities send you to an official external email or form. Others may use CastMe tools to help you organise your application.

If a listing belongs to an outside production or organisation, we aim to make that clear and direct applicants to the official route.

Can I reset my password or get help logging in?

Yes. Use the password reset option on the login page. If you are still stuck, contact CastMe from the support or contact links and include the email address you signed up with.

If you recently signed up, check your inbox and spam folder for verification emails before trying again.

Are my uploads and profile details private?

Your dashboard profile and uploaded media are treated as member account data. Public Showcase content is different because you choose to publish it as a shareable profile.

Do not upload anything you would not be comfortable using professionally. For more detail, read the Privacy Policy and Terms pages.

Can I delete my CastMe account?

Yes. Signed-in members can use the dashboard data controls to delete their account. This removes the member account, profile, private Studio data, Showcase records and active uploaded media associated with the account.

We also add the email address to our suppression list so it is not included in future CastMe campaigns. Limited records may remain only where required for legal, security, audit, backup or dispute-resolution purposes.

What is the Industry Hub?

The Industry Hub is a free public resource for Irish performers and screen creatives. It gathers useful routes into agencies, training, extras work, acting representation, writers resources, production support, film offices, festivals and funding information.

It is designed to help people find legitimate routes and make better decisions before they apply anywhere.

Can agencies, schools or productions ask to update their listing?

Yes. We welcome corrections, updated details and official notes from organisations listed in the Industry Hub.

If you represent an organisation and want something updated, contact CastMe and we can review the listing. Our aim is to send performers toward accurate, useful and official information.

How can I post a casting or opportunity?

Use the Submit Casting page or contact CastMe with the details. Include the project name, dates, location, paid or unpaid status, age or appearance requirements, application route and any safety notes.

We may review listings before promoting them so performers have a clearer and safer experience.
