What CastMe is, and what it is not doing here

CastMe is an Irish platform for performers aged 16 and over — casting opportunities, a private rehearsal Studio and a Showcase page the performer controls. We do not host profiles for children. No-one under 16 is publicly visible anywhere on this site, and that is enforced by the system and checked every day rather than promised.

Nothing in this Playroom feeds any of that. Playing creates no profile, no record and no place in a queue, and no casting professional sees anything from it — there is nothing to see, because nothing leaves this browser. When a young performer turns 16 they can make their own account, with their own consent, at an age the law recognises.

If your child is showing real interest

  • Drama classes and youth theatre first. Better for a child than any platform, ours included, and where most Irish child casting is actually sourced.
  • Nobody should charge you to have your child considered. Upfront joining fees, compulsory photography packages and paid portfolios are the warning signs.
  • If a production wants your child, there is a legal process. Under-16s need a ministerial licence with conditions on hours, chaperones, schooling and how the child is paid.
