CastMe started with a simple frustration: performers, writers and creative people are expected to be ready, visible and professional, but they have not had a trusted free platform built around the full preparation workflow. Profile, practice, Showcase, roles and practical feedback should work together because performers need more than another casting list.
We are building CastMe as a free performance-industry platform with new tools made specifically for performers. It is not just a casting notice board. It is a toolkit for preparing, presenting yourself and finding your way through the Irish screen and performance world.
The CastMe loop
The product is built around a practical loop: build your profile, practise privately, publish a Showcase when ready, share a Casting Pack when someone needs a quick summary, and keep learning through the Industry Hub and creative tools.
What we have built
- CastMe Showcase: a public page for headshot, bio, clips, links, skills and selected work.
- Casting Pack: a printable version of a Showcase with a QR code and live link back to the source page.
- CastMe Studio: a private practice room for short takes, rehearsal notes and focused second passes.
- Scene Partner: a safer way to find practice energy, accountability and collaboration.
- Industry Hub: a growing free resource for training, agencies, writers, production support, festivals and opportunities.
- Game Centre: a no-signup space for younger performers to build confidence through creative challenges.
Why it is free
We want people to be able to try the platform without a paywall blocking the first step. A performer should be able to create a profile, understand the tools and start building a presence without needing money upfront.
That does not mean the tools are casual. We are building them carefully because they deal with real people, real media and real opportunities. We do not sell member data, and uploaded media is not used to train foundation models.
What makes CastMe different
There are casting directories, portfolio builders, social platforms and learning resources. CastMe is different because we are building new free performer tools ourselves: profile, practice, Showcase, Casting Pack, opportunities, Studio feedback and Lab in one Irish performance-industry workflow.
That combination matters. A performer should not have to choose between being seen and getting better. The platform should help with both.
Where to start
If you are new, start with a free profile. Then build your Showcase, try Studio with a short take, and use the Industry Hub to understand the routes around you.
