Ireland's screen and performance world is full of useful public routes, but they are scattered across funders, festivals, training pages and industry bodies. CastMe's job is to make those routes easier to see without pretending we own them.
Always check the official source before applying. Deadlines, eligibility and fees can change, and the organisation running the opportunity is the final authority.

- September 18, 2026: NEMO Northern European Mobility Opportunity closes.
- September 29, 2026, 1pm: Screen Ireland's Screen Mentoring Scheme 2026 closes. Twenty-five places, each pairing you with an industry mentor for up to 20 hours across five to ten meetings over a year. You need three years of relevant full-time experience. This is one of the few on this page an individual performer can apply for directly.
- October 23, 2026, 1pm: Screen Ireland production funding and distribution funding.
- October 30, 2026, 1pm: Screen Ireland development funding.

- September 1, 2026: Screen Ireland Creative Screen Industry Awards Funding, for award ceremonies running 1 January to 30 April 2027.
- September 7, 2026: Screen Ireland festival funding, for festivals running 1 January to 30 April 2027.

- September 10, 2026: Screen Ireland TV Unscripted Producer Programme.
What is actually open to a performer
Most Screen Ireland rounds are producer- and company-facing. If you are an actor without a production company attached, the honest answer is that you cannot apply to them, and a page that implies otherwise is wasting your time. Read them as a weather report instead: production funding awarded in October is shooting next year, and that is when the parts exist.
The exception on this page is the Screen Mentoring Scheme, which is open to individual practitioners with three years behind them and closes on 29 September. If you qualify, that is the one to spend the evening on.
What this means for performers
Not every industry deadline is something an actor can apply for directly. But these dates still matter. Funding rounds, festivals, training programmes and production supports shape what gets made, when projects move, and where new roles may appear later.
