Terms of Business

These Terms of Business apply when a production company, agency, casting contact, partner or other business user works with CastMe.ie, submits an opportunity, requests a service, views member materials for a legitimate industry purpose or confirms an engagement connected with CastMe.ie.

By requesting, confirming or using a CastMe business service, opportunity listing, partner route or performer introduction, you agree to these Terms.

Plain English summary: use CastMe and member information only for genuine casting, production, collaboration or partnership purposes; respect performer rights; keep briefs accurate; do not scrape or repurpose platform data; and agree clear rates, usage and safety expectations before work takes place.

1. Scope of Service

CastMe.ie provides an independent performer profile, Showcase, Studio, media, industry-resource and opportunity-access platform. CastMe helps performers prepare, organise and share their work, and helps industry contacts discover or receive clearer performer materials.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, CastMe.ie is not a talent agency, modelling agency, employment agency, producer, employer, payroll company or representative of any production, and does not control day-to-day production operations.

2. Client Responsibilities

3. Health, safety and safeguarding

The client is responsible for on-set/workplace safety and legal compliance, including duties under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

Where a project involves young performers, vulnerable people, intimacy, stunts, animals, vehicles, remote locations or sensitive material, the client must ensure suitable safeguards, supervision, permissions and risk assessments are in place.

4. Bookings, Rates and Invoicing

5. Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation charges may apply where confirmed bookings are changed or cancelled at short notice. The applicable terms are those agreed for the relevant booking, service or opportunity listing.

6. Talent Payments and Payroll

Where CastMe.ie administers payroll or payment processing, deductions and reporting are handled in line with applicable Irish tax and employment obligations.

7. Usage Rights and Content Exploitation

8. Confidentiality

Both parties must keep confidential information secure and must not disclose it except where required for production delivery or by law.

9. Platform Integrity and Security

CastMe.ie may monitor usage patterns, IP addresses, device information, rate limits and security logs to protect members, prevent scraping, investigate abuse, and keep the platform reliable. We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably suspect misuse, automated harvesting, credential sharing, attempted copying of platform systems, or risk to member privacy.

10. Data Protection

Each party must comply with applicable data protection law, including GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where personal data is shared, each party is responsible for its own lawful processing.

11. Client Warranties

The client warrants that all materials, instructions and production activity supplied to CastMe.ie are lawful and do not infringe third-party rights.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where unlawful, including for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to that, CastMe.ie will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, and overall liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant booking giving rise to the claim.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate for material breach if that breach is not remedied within a reasonable time after written notice.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Irish law. The courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory legal rights that apply.
