CastMe is built in Ireland, but performers do not live inside one neat market. A role can be local, remote, self-tape based, UK-based, European, student-led, independent, paid, unpaid, urgent or highly specific. The practical question is not “is this Irish enough?” It is “can a performer realistically act on this?”
Ireland has talent everywhere, but too much access still depends on closed networks, private lists and word of mouth. CastMe is building the practical layer underneath that: open roles, private practice tools, and a Showcase link performers can use when the right door opens.
Why UK roles appear on CastMe
Many Irish performers work across Ireland and the UK. Some roles accept self-tapes. Some productions cast across regions. Some jobs are useful because they reveal what the market is asking for, even if a performer chooses not to apply.
That does not mean every listing is equally relevant. It means CastMe should be honest about location, source, pay, eligibility and the next step, then let performers decide.

What CastMe should never pretend
CastMe does not replace agents, casting directors, training, unions, official sources or the hard human judgement of casting. It makes preparation and visibility less scattered, especially for performers who are not already inside the right rooms.
