2 Scottish Female Actors Wanted for Paid-Expenses Psychology Research Videos

A Scottish psychology master's student is seeking two female actors for an academic research project exploring how people are perceived before and after information about an autism diagnosis is disclosed. Each actor will portray a separate character: one autistic and one neurotypical. The researcher is seeking performers who feel able to portray their chosen character authentically. Applicants will not be required to disclose any personal diagnosis or private information and may simply state which role they would like to be considered for. Any access requirements or appropriate support can be discussed confidentially. Each actor will record two short videos independently and will not perform alongside the other actor. The first video will portray an initial introduction and is expected to last approximately one to one-and-a-half minutes. The second will involve discussing interests and is expected to last approximately one-and-a-half to three minutes. Loose scripts will be provided and may be adapted to suit the performer, provided any changes do not significantly affect the study design. Remote filming is available, although backgrounds will need to be made as visually consistent as possible. In-person filming can take place at the University of St Andrews or elsewhere in the Fife area. Travel and other agreed expenses will be covered.
