The Dark Reality is a short film psychological thriller directed by Klaudia Galja. It is a high-intensity psychological thriller exploring trauma, gaslighting and a splintered mind. When she secretly decides to stop taking her pills, her reality aggressively splinters into vibrant hallucinations, forcing her to fight to uncover the truth and reclaim her own mind. Patricia is a cold-blooded, calculated sociopath driven entirely by self-preservation. Actor requirements are role specific. Patricia's actor must be able to play genuine warmth and trustworthiness flawlessly, never dropping hints of being 'evil', right up until her mask completely slips into desperate, explosive violence during an intense physical confrontation. Sarah's actor needs incredible emotional range and must balance a fragile, trembling vulnerability in the early acts with a sharp, terrifyingly grounded and hardened stillness by the film's climax. The role features high-intensity psychological acting and coordination for a physical confrontation scene.
