STROKE is a short darkly comic film about three criminals who steal a painting, only to realise they've taken the wrong one. As they bring the painting home, each of them begins to develop a different relationship with it. What initially seems like a simple mistake gradually becomes something stranger. The film is character-driven and visually distinctive, with the painting remaining at the centre of the story throughout. We're looking for actors who can bring their own interpretation to the characters rather than fitting into character types. Naturalistic performances, strong screen presence and interesting individual choices are encouraged. Actors of all nationalities and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We're particularly interested in hearing a range of accents and voices.
