'Santa Express' is a new British family Christmas feature film shooting in York and across North Yorkshire. Set against the festive backdrop of Christmas in York and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, the film is described as a warm, funny and uplifting family story filled with steam trains, snow, Christmas magic and plenty of heart. The film stars Peter Purves as Father Christmas alongside Toyah Willcox, Victoria Ekanoye, Joe Savino, Fiona Sinnott and an ensemble cast. The production is looking for local people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds to appear as extras throughout the filming schedule. Each film extra will normally only be required for one half-day, although those interested can participate on multiple filming days. This is a small-team, low-budget production.
